TinTin & Ideal II

Last wednesday we announced that we had two surprises at Ideal, the first one was the Loch Lomond whisky, today we show you the second one: the Haig’s whisky.

This whisky also has an honorable mention in the TinTin comics, Hergé has been one of the most detailist comic book artists of history and in the tenth comic of TinTin (TinTin and the red sea sharks, 1958) there is a vignette where we can find an exact replica of a Haig’s whisky bottle with the same label the bottles from the distillery John Haig & Co Ltd. had back in the day. During TinTin’s publication Hergé used a lot of real brands in the stories, eventually lots of them were substituted by fictional brands (as we showed you with the Loch Lomond story) but you can still find quite a lot of references to real brands such as Fiat, Kodak or Rolex in the pages of the comics.

Miraval Rosé the wine of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt at Ideal Cocktail Bar

We recently have acquired this bottles of wine Miraval Rosé 2014 by châteaux Miraval the wine produced by Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, the famous couple have decided to enter the world of wine with this rosé french provence. This wine has an alcoholic grad. of 13º and it’s composed with the variations Cinsault, Syrah, Grenache and Rolle grapes. It’s perfect to combine with breaded anchovies, white meat cooked in the oven, cheeses and semiraw pasta. You can buy it at Ideal for 25€.

Christmas at Ideal

On Tuesday, as is tradition, we celebrated the Christmas party at Ideal, as every year have accompanied us and shared this moment with us good friends, family and regular customers, thank you very much to all of them for their company.

We were delighted to serve all attendees a taste of oysters along with their favorite drink and do ultimately this celebration such a festive and lively experience, we expect all attendees to share this review with us and we also expect them to be eager to repeat this next year.
